The Estate Saga

The light house was the land marker an indicator that the Brown's Estate was close by.  In the year 1842, the estate was filled with field slaves of men and women.  The children had their role to play helping the older ones in the yard but Elsie, the mulatto domestic slave had much on her plate.

Elsie was a bi-product of the owner of another estate and a field slave of the Browns.  She was the perfect half white looking 16 year old female that filled the eyes of Mr. Frank Brown but burned the heart of Mrs. Brown.  Elsie was beautiful with brown thick hair and blue eyes.  She was cared for by the owners just like their own children, but as soon as puberty kicked in, Mrs. Brown transferred her to the barracks, much to the protest of the husband.  Mrs. Brown saw a rival in the making and she was prepared to protect her turf, her husband.

Frank on the other hand, admired the changes of Elsie, she was indeed growing into a fine female he thought.  He didn't mind his wife moving her out of the house, this would be better for him when he is ready to make his move.  Frank has no selfish intentions.  He was falling in love with this fair slave.  He had never hit her, but only desired her.  He made his plans for her starting last year.  He will wait until she reaches 18, that is the right time he said.  "I have plans for my Elsie," he thought with a deep smile, a smile that his wife Charolette knew what that meant.

Charolette, now thinking desperately, planning a way to get rid of Elsie.  "The girl is too pretty now, I must get her off the property!"  So she planned to consult with an old Nanny who was originally from Haiti.  She wanted to find a way and she was determined to get it.  Nanny is on an Estate of a close friend of hers 20 miles from her.  Charolette proceeded to make travel plans to get there.


Elsie, though innocent in appearance was no fool.  She knew her attributes and the effect she has on her estate owner.  She has been well coached by her mother as to how to make use of her "resources."  Though still a virgin, she knew what she has to do to get Mr. Frank.  She knows how Frank desires her, and she was going to make herself available, even though "Miss Charolette" moved her into the barracks.  She will wait for him, she will be ready!
